This trail is important for many reasons, especially that it has an underpass under 1-580 and connects to the Iron Horse Trail in Dublin. It used to be paved from 1-580 to W Las Positas but due to lack of maintenance by the City of Pleasanton it has been turned into gravel south of Stoneridge Dr. The only exit before gravel takes users onto Johnson Dr and through the intersection at Stoneridge Dr. Very heavy traffic is expected at this intersection after Costco is built. They expect such heavy traffic that Johnson Dr is being widened with no southbound bike lanes on the street. Instead bicycles will be diverted onto this trail. I hope you will agree that this is unacceptable and the trail should be repaired to allow safe and easy access for all users. Thank you for your consideration. Gary Sears Pleasanton, CA i
