CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLEASANTON. <br /> February 7, 2023 <br /> Finance <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS THE <br /> CITY'S AGENT FOR FEDERAL AND STATE DISASTER ASSISTANCE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> As necessitated, the City may determine a need to apply for Federal and State disaster <br /> assistance. The State of California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) <br /> requires a resolution designating an agent authorized to sign and file all applications for <br /> disaster assistance with state and federal agencies in order to be eligible to receive <br /> funding. Such designation of an agent is required to be submitted every three years. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended the City Council designate the City Manager as the City's agent for <br /> federal and state disaster assistance. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no direct financial impact in designating the City Manager as the City's agent <br /> for federal and state disaster assistance. <br />
