THE CITY OF 17 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLE ASANTON. <br /> July 19, 2022 <br /> Police <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: AWARD A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT TO BONITA <br /> HOUSE, INCORPORATED FOR THE NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF <br /> $775,944 TO PROVIDE CLINICIAN SERVICES FOR THE ALTERNATE <br /> RESPONSE TO MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City received one bid in response to a request for proposal (RFP) requesting two <br /> mental health clinicians to join the Alternate Response to Mental Health (ARMH) <br /> program. Bonita House, Incorporated (BHI or Bonita House) provided a responsive bid <br /> and is qualified to provide crisis clinician services. Staff is recommending award of the <br /> contract to Bonita House to provide crisis clinician services for the ARMH program. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Approve the two-year professional services agreement with Bonita House, <br /> Incorporated in the amount of $775,944 for mental health clinician services for <br /> the Alternate Response to Mental Health two-year pilot program. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Manager to enter into the attached agreement. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The Council previously appropriated $800,000 to the Alternate Response to Mental <br /> Health program. The total contract cost with Bonita House is estimated to be $775,944 <br /> ($400,972 in FY2022/23 and $374,972 in FY2023/24). <br /> An opportunity for partial cost recovery exists through Medi-Cal reimbursement for <br /> mental health services; however, the anticipated cost recovery is unknown. Bonita <br /> House, Incorporated has the infrastructure and experience in medical billing and <br /> working with Medi-Cal. <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
