Ordinance No. 2[~5 (Business Licenses), as amended, is hereby <br />amended to read as set forth below. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. Section 18A.01 is added to 0rdi~nce Ns. 245 to read as <br />follows. <br /> <br /> '!SA.00 A~DA COE~TY FA~GR0~q~ CONCESSIONS AND FA(HIBITORS. <br /> <br /> ']~8A.O1 Except as provided for carnivals in section !6.07 above, <br /> all persons who transact and carry on business within the City only <br /> at the Alameda Comty Fairgromds during a period commencing one <br /> week prior to opening and one ~reek after closin{:] of the rea~lar <br /> fair ~ys, is hereby deemed exempt from said license requirements <br /> and shall be exempt from the taz provided above. <br /> <br /> '18A.02 The City Council shall prior to April !st of each year <br /> commencin~ April t, 1766, fix and dete~m~ine by agreement, letter <br /> or resolution, confimed by the Board of Directors of the Alame~ <br /> County Fair, an in lieu fee to compensate the City for se~ices <br /> required by concessionaires and exhibitors exempt from this tax. <br /> Terms and conditions of said in lieu ~nents shall be fixed at <br /> the discretion of the Council and the Board of Directors." <br /> <br /> SECTION 3. All provisions of Ordi~nce No. 245 inconsistent with <br />section 2 above are hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> SECTION 1~.
