May 12, 2021 Item 6 SUBJECT: Selection of Sub-Committee Representatives and Alternates for May — December 2021 Two Planning Commissioners' terms ended since the sub-committee representatives and alternates were chosen for 2021 , resulting in vacancies that need to be filled for the remainder of the year. At a minimum, the following new appointments are necessary based on Commissioners' terms ending: • Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails Committee: One Alternate (Note: the Commission previously appointed two alternates to this Committee) • Heritage Tree Board of Appeals: One Representative One Alternate The Commission may also elect to appoint new representatives to any of the positions for these two Committees. The Committee's respective scope of duties, and current appointments are listed below. Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails Committee Advise the Parks and Recreation Commission and the City's Traffic Engineering Division on bicycle, pedestrian and trail related items. The committee reviews and prioritizes potential projects, provides input on policies related to bikeways and trails, and promotes community education and awareness regarding non-motorized forms of transportation. Meeting Time: Fourth Monday of each month at 6:45 p.m. Meeting Location: Pleasanton Senior Center, 5353 Sunol Blvd., Pleasanton Current Representative: Commissioner Pace Current Alternate: Commissioner Brown Heritage Tree Board of Appeals Make findings of fact upholding, reversing or modifying the director's decision with regard to heritage tree removal permits.
