ORDINANCE NO. 2212 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING TITLE 11, CHAPTER 11.20, SECTION 11.20.010, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE TO SET AND REVISE SPEED LIMITS FOR STONERIDGE DRIVE BETWEEN STONERIDGE MALL ROAD AND JOHNSON DRIVE AND BETWEEN JOHNSON DRIVE AND HOPYARD ROAD THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Title 11, Vehicles and Traffic, Chapter 11.20, Speed Limits Section 11.20.010, Speed Limits in Certain Zones, of the Municipal Code of the City of Pleasanton, is hereby amended to add new subsections, amend existing subsections, and delete subsections, as follows: 11.20.010 Speed limits in certain zones. Based upon an engineering and traffic investigation and study, the prima facie speed limit shall be as set forth in this section on those streets, or parts of said streets, designated in this section when signs are in place giving notice thereof: II. Stoneridge Drive: 2. From Stoneridge Mall Road to Johnson Drive the speed limit shall be 45 40 miles per hour. 3. From Johnson Drive to Hopyard Road the speed limit shall be 45 40 miles per hour. SECTION 2. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its passage and adoption.
