EXTENSION OF TERM OF ANIMAL SHELTER M.O.U. <br />The undersigned represent parties to a Memorandum of Understanding ("M.O.U.), effective July <br />1, 2005, between the cities of Pleasanton, Livermore and Dublin and the County of Alameda <br />("Participating Entities")and the Alameda County Sheriff's Office ("Operator") for performance of <br />animal shelter services at the East County Animal Shelter, located at 4595 Gleason Avenue, <br />Dublin, California ("Shelter"). <br />Section VIII of the M.O.U. provides for an initial term of three years to June 30, 2008, but further <br />that, "This M.O.U. may be extended for a period of two years upon mutual agreement of the <br />OPERATOR and PARTICIPATING ENTITIES." <br />In that the initial three-year term of the M.O.U. will conclude on June 30, 2008, and in that the <br />parties are mutually agreeable to the two year extension originally contemplated in the M.O.U. <br />and under the same terms originally set forth therein unless amended pursuant to the M.O.U., <br />it is agreed by the parties, for valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are <br />hereby acknowledged, that the term of the Animal Shelter M.O.U. is hereby extended to June <br />30, 2010. <br />CITIES: <br />~ci~~p <br />By: <br />ichard C.
