PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-2003-18 RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPLICATION OF STEVEN AND LAURA SINER FOR ADMINISTRATIVE DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE PADR-776 WHEREAS, Steven and Laura Siner have applied for administrative design review approval to construct an approximately 258-squaze-foot, single-story addition and an approximately 1,338-square-foot, second-story addition to an existing single-family residence located at 6599 Stanton Court; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is R-1-6,500 (Single-Family Residential, Minimum Lot Size of 6,500 square feet) District; and WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of May 28, 2003, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed addition is out of character with the neighborhood and is not compatible architecturally with adjacent buildings; does not appropriately relate to the building on site, especially as to massing; and the azchitectural style is not considered of high quality due to the failure to relate the design to the surroundings and to relate the building components to each other and the building colors and materials. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section I. Denies the application of Steven and Laura Siner for administrative design review approval to construct an approximately 258-square-foot, single-story addition and an approximately 1,338-square-foot, second-story addition to an existing single- family residence located at 6599 Stanton Court. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days afrer its passage and adoption unless appealed prior to that time.
