PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2003-15 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND CHAPTER 18.84 OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE, AS FILED UNDER CASE PRZ-19 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed an application to amend the Pleasanton Municipal <br />Code to modify the current 23-foot front yard setback standard to a minimum of 20 <br />feet for properties where the existing homes were originally constructed with a 20- <br />foot front yard setback; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public heazing of April 23, 2003 the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City <br />staff concerning the amendment to the Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature aze categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed amendment would provide <br />Pleasanton residents with wider and often more appropriate design options for their <br />additions. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case PRZ-19, the application of the City of Pleasanton to <br />amend the Pleasanton Municipal Code to modify the current 23-foot front yazd <br />setback standard to a minimum of 20 feet for properties where the existing homes <br />were originally constructed with a 20-foot front yard setback, as shown on Exhibit <br />"A," attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
