PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2003-OS <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND THE PLEASANTON <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, AS FILED UNDER CASE PRZ-07 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed an application to amend the Pleasanton Municipal <br />Code by adding an ordinance that would establish locational requirements and City <br />review procedures for electricity generator facilities, including turbines and engines <br />that generate electricity, emergency backup generators, fuel cell facilities <br />photovoltaic facilities, and wind energy facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 12, 2003, the Planning Commission received a proposed <br />negative declaration prepared for Case PRZ-07; and <br />WHEREAS, the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of <br />the proposal; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the <br />applicable state and local guidelines governing the prepazation of Negative <br />Declarations; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposed project will have no potential for <br />adverse impacts on the site's wildlife; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission further finds that approval of the proposed project would <br />not have any significant adverse effects on the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for Case PRZ-07, the <br />application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Pleasanton Municipal Code by <br />adding an ordinance that would establish locational requirements and City review <br />procedures for electricity generator facilities, including turbines and engines that <br />generate electricity, emergency backup generators, fuel cell facilities photovoltaic <br />facilities, and wind energy facilities. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and adoption. <br />
