PLEAS NTONg Economic Vitality Committee August 15, 2019 7:30 a.m. Remillard Conference Room 3333 Busch Road, Pleasanton CALL TO ORDER/INTRODUCTIONS Minutes Meeting called to order at 7:33 a.m. by EVC Chair Christina Nystrom Mantha. Committee members present were Christina Nystrom Mantha, Councilmember Julie Testa, Ellen Pensky McGraw, Steve Van Dorn, Harsh Gohil, Shareef Mandavi, Olivia Sanwong, Esther Yu, Chiman Lee, Will Doerlich, Tiffany Cadrette, Steve Baker, Sylvia Tian, Kristen Hayes Kuse, Kristin LaPorte, and PUSD Trustee Jamie Yee along with Glen Sparks. Committee members not in attendance were Jeffrey Chen and Barbara Steinfeld. Special guests in attendance were i - Gate Executive Director Brandon Cardwell and Mirador Capital Partners Executive Vice President Lauren Moone. City staff present were Economic Development Office Assistant Nicole Rodriguez, Economic Development Specialist Lisa Adamos and Director of Economic Development Pamela Ott. AGENDA AMENDMENTS No agenda amendments were made. PUBLIC COMMENT There was no public comment. CONSENT CALENDAR The July 18, 2019, meeting minutes were amended to reflect: 1. Under Matters Initiated by Economic Vitality Committee, Planning Commission was added to read: "the task force supported forwarding the task force recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council..." The July 18, 2019, meeting minutes were approved as amended on motion by Steve Baker and second by Will Doerlich by a vote of 14-0-2 with Olivia Sanwong and Chiman Lee abstaining. INFORMATION UPDATES Christina Nystrom Mantha shared that discussion items have been identified for the remaining 2019 EVC meetings. Pamela Ott reviewed the Upcoming Meetings and Events listing as well as the CDD Update included in the agenda packet. She also noted the City's Commission/Committee member recruitment period is open through 8/30/19.
