THE CITY OF 5 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> LA 'ATáS. <br /> October 15, 2019 <br /> Community Development <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE ADDITIONAL <br /> EXPENDITURE OF $30,753 OF ALTAMONT OPEN SPACE FUNDS FOR <br /> SERVICES RELATED TO STRATEGIC PLANNING AND CONSERVATION <br /> EVALUATION IS CONSISTENT WITH THE ALTAMONT LANDFILL <br /> SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT <br /> SUMMARY <br /> On September 20, 2019, the Altamont Landfill and Resource Recovery Facility Open <br /> Space Advisory Committee (Open Space Committee) voted to amend the existing <br /> contract with the University of California, Berkeley's Department of Environmental <br /> Science, Policy and Management (UC Berkeley) for their services related to mapping <br /> priority areas for future acquisitions in accordance with the Altamont Landfill Settlement <br /> Agreement. The Open Space Committee is recommending release of additional funds <br /> not to exceed $30,753 for a UC Berkeley team to train Open Space Committee <br /> members on manipulating the mapping that was developed under the executed contract <br /> in addition to providing ongoing technical support to the Open Space Committee, for a <br /> minimum of three years. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt the attached Resolution accepting the Altamont Landfill Open Space Committee's <br /> recommendation to determine the expenditure of up to $30,753 of Altamont Open <br /> Space Funds for services to be performed by UC Berkeley is consistent with the <br /> Altamont Landfill Settlement Agreement. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no cost to the City of Pleasanton associated with this Resolution. Altamont <br /> Open Space funds will continue to cover the contract with UC Berkeley. <br />
