AGENDA REPORT <br />October 10, 2019 <br />Item 5 <br />TITLE: CONSIDER SUPPORT FOR A MUNICIPAL CODE AMENDMENT <br />ALLOWING YOUTH MEMBERS TO VOTE <br />SUMMARY <br />At its May 8, 2019 meeting, the Youth Commission made a motion recommending that <br />City Council amend the Municipal Code to allow youth members of the Civic Arts, <br />Human Services, Library, and Parks and Recreation Commissions the ability to vote. <br />The commission also recommended a one-year pilot for the quorum requirement to <br />allow commissions to evaluate quorum issues before any changes are made to the <br />Municipal Code, specific to quorum requirement. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Consider support for a Municipal Code Amendment allowing youth members to vote. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There is no financial impact to this item. <br />
