Committee <br />members present were Christina Nystrom Mantha, Councilmember Julie Testa, Ellen Pensky <br />McGraw, Steve Van Dorn, Will Doerlich, Harsh Gohil, Shareef Mandavi, Olivia Sanwong, <br />Chiman Lee, Esther Yu, Barbara Steinfeld, Steve Baker, Sylvia Tian, Jamie Yee, Glen Sparks <br />and Kristen Hayes Kuse. Committee members not in attendance were Jeffrey Chen, Angel <br />Moore and Judy Wheeler. City staff present were Economic Development Specialist Lisa <br />Adamos, Economic Development Office Assistant Nicole Rodriguez and Director of Economic <br />Development Pamela Ott. <br />EVC members and City staff introduced themselves. <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />No agenda amendments were made. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />There was no public comment. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The March 21, 2019, meeting minutes were approved as presented on motion by Will Doerlich <br />and second by Steve Baker by a vote of 14-0-1 with Kristen Hayes Kuse abstaining. <br />INFORMATION UPDATES <br />Pamela Ott referenced the staff report regarding the 2020 Census, noting the importance of <br />this effort. Jamie Yee noted the census will be online for the first time, but expressed concern <br />there will be fewer responses as some residents are without computer or internet access. Ms. <br />Ott affirmed the request to respond online would be followed up by mail, and the City would <br />assist in providing multiple options/opportunities for residents to respond. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br />City Council Liaison Report <br />Councilmember Julie Testa offered several items from the April 16 City Council meeting-. <br />• The Chabad's application for a conditional use permit was approved by the Council-, this <br />process involved considering the interest of multiple parties including the Chabad, St. <br />Clare's church and the adjacent neighborhood. <br />
