THE CITY OF 21 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON <br /> April 16, 2019 <br /> Operation Services <br /> TITLE: CONSIDER A RESOLUTION DECLARING AS SURPLUS ONE POLICE <br /> UTILITY VEHICLE AND AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br /> AGREEMENT DONATING THIS POLICE VEHICLE TO LAS POSITAS <br /> COMMUNITY COLLEGE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The attached resolution itemizes the police utility vehicle proposed for surplus, including <br /> description and vehicle identification number 1FM5K8AR2EGB38533 (VIN). This <br /> vehicle would be donated to Las Positas Community College. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Declare as surplus the Pleasanton Police Department police utility vehicle VIN <br /> 1 FM5K8AR2EGB38533 as it has passed its useful and cost effective service life and <br /> has been replaced. <br /> Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement, in a form approved by the City <br /> Attorney that provides for the transfer of this police utility vehicle to Las Positas <br /> Community College. <br /> Find that such transfer would directly benefit the Administration of Justice Program at <br /> the College; several core courses including the Introductory Course, Patrol Procedures, <br /> Criminal Investigation, and Traffic Investigation are enhanced by practical, hands-on <br /> elements. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The transfer, transportation and other logistics of this donation will have no cost to the <br /> City of Pleasanton. <br />
