THE CITY OF i
, I
pLEASANTON©
MEMORANDUM
Date: August 29, 2018
To: Mayor and City Council
From: Nelson Fialho, City Manager
Re: Item No. 9 — Presentation and Discussion on Recommended Capital Facility,
Transportation and Affordable Housing Development Impact Fees
After issuing the staff report, staff found changes to Tables 12 and 13 that outline staff
recommendations for Capital Facility and Transportation Fees for Retail land uses. Staff is
recommending that the Retail fees be set at amounts that result in cumulative development
impact fees charged to developers to be equal to the average of Livermore and Dublin. In
order to achieve that objective, the Capital Facility Retail fee needs to be set at the maximum
identified in the Nexus Study since it is less than the average Capital Facility fee charged by
Dublin and Livermore. The Transportation fee needs to be set $18.80 per square foot which is
$5.07 less than the maximum fee identified in the Nexus Study.
All of the changes in the report are highlighted in yellow.
