CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR AND SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES <br /> June 5, 2018 <br /> Mayor Thorne called the special meeting to order at the hour of 6:30 p.m. <br /> Present: Councilmembers Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Absent: Councilmember Brown <br /> The meeting adjourned to Closed Session for the following purpose: Conference with Labor Negotiators <br /> pursuant to Government Code §54957.6: <br /> Agency representatives: Nelson Fialho, Debra Gill and Bruce Heid, IEDA <br /> Employee organization: International Association of Firefighters Local 1974 <br /> The special meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Thorne called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. <br /> Councilmember Narum led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided opening remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Absent: Councilmember Brown <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Sodergren stated that no reportable action was taken in closed session. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> City Manager Fialho referenced Item No. 3 and deferred to Director of Community Development Gerry <br /> Beaudin for a clarification. <br /> Director of Community Development Beaudin stated it has come to staffs attention the Ordinance does <br /> not match Council's discussion from its meeting on May 15th and proposed the following changes: The <br /> first "Whereas" statement, fourth line, eliminate "and a pad for a future approximately 17,000 square- <br /> foot office building," which also appears on Page 2, Section 1. <br /> In response to Mayor Thorne's question as to the legality of the Ordinance, it was noted the matter is a <br /> clerical correction, which is legal and allowable. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> City Manager <br /> 1.
