(FORMERLY NEW WORLD) SOFTWARE <br /> MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT AGREEMENT OF COMPUTER AIDED <br /> DISPATCH (CAD), RECORDS MANAGEMENT AND MOBILE <br /> APPLICATIONS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City's Purchasing Manual establishes the types and values of goods and services <br /> requiring City Council approval. <br /> In July of 2006 the Police Department entered into an agreement with New World, now <br /> owned by Tyler Technologies Inc., for licensed software of computer aided dispatch, <br /> report writing, and mobile applications essential for police services. <br /> Staff is recommending Council authorize an amendment to the Contract for <br /> maintenance and support services with Tyler Technologies Inc. due to the addition of <br /> software resulting in additional cost to the maintenance and support agreement. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Authorize the issuance of the Contract Amendment to Tyler Technologies Inc. for <br /> licensed software of computer aided dispatch, report writing, and mobile applications <br /> essential for police services for FY 2017/18 through FY 2019/20. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> An additional $5,335 and $5,495 is anticipated in maintenance cost for FY18-19 and <br /> FY19-20 respectively. The amendment also allows for up to 5% contingency funds in <br /> the event that additional software upgrades are made during the remaining life of this <br /> contract. <br /> The total anticipated cost for FY18-19 is $209,275 which is included in the Police <br /> department budget. The total anticipated cost for FY19-20 is $215,555 which will be <br /> included in the department FY 2019/20 budget for the remaining year of this contract. <br />
