THE CITY OF <br /> rmmermituri., <br /> pLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT 13 <br /> July 17, 2018 <br /> Library and Recreation <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT THE FRIENDS OF THE PLEASANTON LIBRARY <br /> RECOMMENDATION AND APPOINT FERN SKOWLUND TO THE <br /> LIBRARY COMMISSION <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Per Municipal Code §2.34.030, the Friends of the Pleasanton Library (Friends) make a <br /> recommendation for one of the seven regular commissioners. The mayor makes the <br /> official appointment, subject to council ratification (per Res. 97-18). At their June 25, <br /> 2018 meeting, the Friends of the Library voted to recommend Fern Skowland as their <br /> recommendation to the Library Commission. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Accept the Friends of the Pleasanton Library recommendation and appoint Fern <br /> Skowlund to the Library Commission. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no anticipated fiscal impact related to this item. <br />
