THE CITY OF 7
CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
pLE ASANTON®
May 1, 2018
Finance
TITLE: APPROVAL OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT WITH
ECONOMIC & PLANNING SYSTEMS, INC. (EPS) TO CONDUCT A
COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEE STUDY
SUMMARY
On October 20, 2015, the City entered into an agreement with EPS for a not to exceed
amount of$135,070 to conduct a development impact fee study. The City has fully
expended the $135,070 and requires an amendment to complete the project. While
EPS has completed draft development impact fee study reports, they need to attend
meetings, help prepare presentations, and finalize reports. EPS estimates to require up
to $10,000 to complete those tasks. In addition, the contract term needs to be extended
to allow EPS to complete their work.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to enter into a
second amendment to an agreement with EPS to increase the not to exceed amount by
$10,000 from $135,070 to $145,070 and extend the agreement term to October 19,
2018.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
The $10,000 will be covered through the FY 2017/18 General Fund budget.
