The DEIR also <br /> evaluates alternatives to the conventional BART design and construction. These <br /> alternatives include: <br /> • Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) or Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) <br /> • Express Bus/Bus Rapid Transit <br /> • Enhanced Bus <br /> • No project <br /> The BART Board will review and certify the Final EIR and select a preferred design in <br /> April/May 2018. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Receive the presentation from BART staff, support the Conventional BART Extension <br /> from Pleasanton to Isabel (Livermore), and provide comments on the preferred design. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There are no fiscal impacts. <br />
