CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> November 7, 2017 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Thorne called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at the hour of 7 10 p m <br /> Councilmember Olson led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided opening remarks <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Absent None <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> With regard to the Consent Calendar, Assistant City Manager Brian Dolan advised that Item No 9 is <br /> being pulled from the agenda and continued to the next meeting, and that Item No 3 1 was added per <br /> the Agenda Addendum dated November 3, 2017 <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Mayor Thorne stated that on the Consent Calendar is the Fourth Amendment to the employment <br /> contract for City Manager Nelson Fialho, who has ably served the City since 2004 This amendment <br /> provides a five percent salary increase, a two and half percent of salary in a deferred <br /> compensation/retirement account, a bonus of $7,500 upon completion of accredited executive training, <br /> and requires him to pay an additional $25 monthly for medical insurance <br /> City Council <br /> 1 Approved and authorized the Mayor to execute Fourth Amendment to employment contract of <br /> City Manager Nelson Fialho to provide for a five percent salary adjustment retroactive to <br /> September 2017, deferred compensation, training, and require additional employee payment <br /> towards medical insurance <br /> City Manager <br /> 2 Approved regular meeting minutes of October 3 and October 17, 2017 <br /> 3 Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 17-974 authorizing submittal of an application <br /> for the Housing-Related Parks Program to the State of California Department of Housing and <br /> Community Development <br /> 31 Accepted Kottinger Village Community Park Improvements performed by MidPen Housing <br /> Corporation and L & D Construction pursuant to California Housing-Related Program Grant, <br /> authorized the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion, and approved and authorized the City <br /> Manager to execute the Assignment and Assumption Agreement with Consent <br /> Community Development <br /> 4 Actions of the Planning Commission <br />
