PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC -2010-12 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING RESCINDING THE STONERIDGE DRIVE <br />SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT ADOPTED ON FEBRUARY 24, 2009 AND <br />APPROVING A REVISED STONERIDGE DRIVE SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Specific Plan Authority (ACSPA) applied for a <br />Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan Amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan Amendment <br />on February 24, 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, a lawsuit challenging the City of Pleasanton's approval of the Stoneridge <br />Drive Specific Plan Amendment was filed on March 27, 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 2, 2009, the City Council decided to assess whether it should <br />further amend the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan Amendment to adopt a <br />short-term configuration of Stoneridge Drive which would reduce the total <br />number of lanes by one in each direction over the Arroyo bridges; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing on May 26, 2010, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of City staff concerning a revised Stoneridge Drive <br />Specific Plan Amendment amending pages 37, 42, 44, 57, and 59 of the <br />approved Amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission believes the current Stoneridge Drive Specific <br />Plan Amendment should be rescinded and a revised Stoneridge Drive <br />Specific Plan Amendment should be approved. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends rescission of the current Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan <br />Amendment and approval of a revised Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan <br />Amendment (Exhibit A). <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br />
