PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC -2010-10 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING CERTIFICATION OF THE STONERIDGE DRIVE <br />SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT/STAPLES RANCH <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (EIR) SUPPLEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Specific Plan Authority (ACSPA) has applied for a <br />Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan Amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council certified the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan <br />Amendment/Staples Ranch Environmental Impact Report on February 24, <br />2009 for the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan Amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, a lawsuit challenging the City of Pleasanton's approval of the Staples <br />Ranch Specific Plan Amendment was filed on March 27, 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 2, 2009, the City Council decided to assess whether it should <br />further amend the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan Amendment to adopt a <br />short-term configuration of Stoneridge Drive which would reduce the total <br />number of lanes by one in each direction over the Arroyo bridges; and <br />WHEREAS, in October 2009, a Draft Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan <br />Amendment/Staples Ranch EIR Supplement (Draft SEIR) was released to <br />address concerns raised in the lawsuit and the potential short-term <br />configuration of Stoneridge Drive over the Arroyo bridges; and <br />WHEREAS, members of the public requested additional time to review the Draft SEIR, <br />and on December 11, 2009, the end of the public comment period for the <br />Draft SEIR was extended from December 17, 2009 to December 30, <br />2009; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing on December 9, 2009, the Planning <br />Commission received oral comments on the Draft SEIR; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing on May 26, 2010, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of City staff concerning the Final Stoneridge Drive <br />Specific Plan Amendment Staples Ranch EIR Supplement (Final SEIR); <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the Final SEIR is adequate. <br />
