<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-98-19 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON, AS FILED UNDER CASE RZ-97-07 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Pleasanton Municipal Code to <br />establish requirements for personal wireless service facilities throughout the City. <br />The proposed Municipal Code changes would establish the minimum setbacks for <br />personal wireless service facilities and would also establish design, locational, and <br />processing standards for existing and proposed personal wireless service facilities; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of March 25,1998, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed ordinance will protect the <br />public safety and general welfare, and provide ample locations where personal <br />wireless service facilities may be located. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case RZ-97 -07, the application of the City of Pleasanton to <br />amend the Pleasanton Municipal Code to establish requirements for personal wireless <br />service facilities throughout the City. The proposed Municipal Code changes would <br />establish the minimum setbacks for personal wireless service facilities and would also <br />establish design, locational, and processing standards for existing and proposed <br />personal wireless service facilities, as shown on Exhibit "B," attached hereto and <br />made part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
