<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-98-07 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF LA-Z-BOY FURNITURE <br />GALLERIES FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE <br />PUD-96-13-1D <br /> <br />WHEREAS, La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries has applied for design review approval to construct <br />a 13,600 square foot, one-story retail commercial building on an improved pad at <br />Pleasanton Square II located at 5225 Johnson Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - I/C-O (Industrial, <br />Commercial, and Office) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of January 28, 1998, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations ofthe <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a draft Negative Declaration was prepared and approved for PUD-96-13, which <br />considered the development of this building pad; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed building size, orientation <br />to the existing buildings and streets, its proposed use, and its design are <br />appropriate and complementary to the existing Pleasanton Square buildings and <br />development plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Approves Case PUD-96-13-ID, the application of La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries <br />for design review approval to construct a 13 ,600 square foot, one-story retail <br />commercial building on an improved pad at Pleasanton Square II located at 5225 <br />Johnson Drive, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B," attached hereto <br />and made part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption <br />unless appealed prior to that time. <br />
