RESOLUTION NO. 17-930 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF <br /> PONDEROSA HOMES II, INC., AS FILED UNDER CASE NOS. P16-1386, PUD- <br /> 113, AND TRACT 8259 <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of May 2, 2017, the City Council received a proposed <br /> Negative Declaration for the application of Ponderosa Homes II, Inc. for applications for the <br /> following at an approximately 9-acre parcel: 1) an amendment to the General Plan Land <br /> Use designation from Public and Institutional to Medium Density Residential; 2) rezoning <br /> from R-1-6,500 (One-Family Residential) to PUD-MDR (Planned Unit Development — <br /> Medium Density Residential) District; 3) PUD development plan approval to demolish the <br /> existing religious building and related improvements and construct 36 single-family homes, <br /> a private clubhouse with a parking lot, and related site improvements; and 4) Vesting <br /> Tentative Subdivision Map approval to subdivide the 9-acre parcel into 36 residential parcels <br /> and four common area parcel; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council received and reviewed the Initial Study, dated March <br /> 8, 2017, and received the recommendations of the staff and Planning Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on May 2, 2017, at which time <br /> the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the <br /> proposed projects; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance <br /> with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of the Negative <br /> Declarations; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed projects would not have any <br /> significant adverse effects on the environment. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER <br /> THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. Approves the Negative Declaration for the applications of Ponderosa <br /> Homes II, Inc. for an amendment to the General Plan Land Use designation from Public and <br /> Institutional to Medium Density Residential (P16-1386); 2) rezoning from R-1-6,500 (One- <br /> Family Residential) to PUD-MDR (Planned Unit Development — Medium Density <br /> Residential) District; 3) PUD development plan approval to demolish the existing religious <br /> building and related improvements and construct 36 single-family homes, a private <br /> clubhouse with a parking lot, and related site improvements (PUD-113); and 4) Vesting <br /> Tentative Subdivision Map approval to subdivide the 9-acre parcel into 36 residential parcels <br /> and four common area parcel (TRACT 8259). <br /> 1 <br />
