RESOLUTION NO. 17-931 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN, AS FILED UNDER <br /> P16-1836, REGARDING A CHANGE IN LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR 6900 <br /> VALLEY TRAILS DRIVE FROM PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL TO MEDIUM <br /> DENSITY RESIDENTIAL <br /> WHEREAS, Ponderosa Homes II, Inc. has applied for a General Plan Amendment <br /> to modify the General Plan Land Use designation on a 9-acre site at 6900 Valley Trails <br /> Drive from Public and Institutional to Medium Density Residential (the "Project"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting on April 12, 2017 <br /> adopted Resolution PC-2017-10, determining that the proposed General Plan <br /> Amendment is appropriate for 6900 Valley Trails Drive, making findings, and <br /> recommending to the City Council that P17-1836 be approved; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 2, 2017, the Pleasanton City Council held a duly noticed <br /> public hearing on this application and considered all public testimony, agenda reports, <br /> and related materials, and the recommendations of City staff and the Planning <br /> Commission. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER <br /> THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council adopts an amendment to the Land Use Element of <br /> the Pleasanton General Plan 2005-2025, as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and <br /> made part of this resolution by reference. <br /> SECTION 2. The City Council determines that this is one of the four times in 2017 <br /> that the Land Use Element of the Pleasanton General Plan 2005-2025 may be amended <br /> as provided in Government Code Section 65358. <br /> SECTION 3. The City Council finds that this amendment to the Land Use Element <br /> of the Pleasanton General Plan 2005-2025 is part of the Project and further finds that the <br /> Negative Declaration for the Project is adequate to serve as the environmental <br /> documentation for this Project and satisfy the requirements of CEQA. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on May 2, 2017. <br />
