RESOLUTION NO. 17-929 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF CITIZENS' OPTIONS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY <br /> PROGRAM FUNDS (COPS) <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of May 2, 2017, the City Council was presented a report <br /> recommending the use of Citizens' Option for Public Safety (COPS) funds received from the <br /> State, as outlined in Section 30061 of the Government Code and in accordance with AB 1584. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves the recommendations for expenditures <br /> of COPS Year 20 which support front line law enforcement functions and serve to enhance public <br /> safety. This will be utilized for technological solutions for predictive policing, equipment <br /> management, Public Records Act compliance, and improved officer safety. <br /> SECTION 2.
