THE CITY OF <br /> m__ - nc rnrivo I B iii CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLEASANTON. <br /> December 20, 2016 <br /> Operations Services Department <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) TRACTOR DRAWN AERIAL <br /> APPARATUS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department (LPFD) is proposing to replace one (1) <br /> Tractor Drawn Aerial (TDA) apparatus in the city of Pleasanton, replacing the existing <br /> aerial truck which is at the end of its service life The TDA platform provides increased <br /> operational agility through improved maneuverability and increased equipment storage <br /> capacity as well as financial savings through reduced maintenance costs and reduction <br /> in the overall fleet size <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff is recommending approving the purchase of one (1)TDA to replace the current TDA <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The total cost of the truck purchased through Pierce Fire Apparatus is $1,294,195 28, <br /> and will be paid through the pre-payment option which was scheduled in FY 2016-17 <br /> through the Repair& Replacement budget <br />
