THE CITY OF <br /> • <br /> inrh7ici CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLE ASANTON. <br /> November 15, 2016 <br /> Finance <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF THE CITY PURCHASING PROCEDURES AND MANUAL <br /> SUMMARY <br /> In 2005 the City Council approved a Purchasing Procedures Manual (2005 Manual)which <br /> establishes guidelines for assisting City employees with purchasing supplies and <br /> contracting for services The proposed Purchasing Procedures and Manual (Manual) <br /> updates contracting thresholds and streamlines the presentation of purchasing policies <br /> to make it easier to locate the City's policy for each type of procurement and contract <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the attached Draft Purchasing Procedures and Manual <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> There is no financial impact associated with approving the proposed Manual However, <br /> some staff time will be saved because the process for solicitation and approvals would <br /> be streamlined under the proposed Manual <br />
