THE CITY OF <br />pLEASANTONO <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />4 <br />July 19, 2016 <br />City Manager <br />TITLE: AUTHORIZE CANCELLATION OF THE OCTOBER 18, 2016 CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING <br />SUMMARY <br />The City Council approves its meeting schedule in December of each year. The 2016 <br />meeting schedule, which includes October 16, 2016 was approved by the Council in <br />December 2015. The Pleasanton Executive Team (PET), comprised of the City <br />Manager, City Attorney and Department Directors, are planning to attend the California <br />Standardized Training Institute's (CSTI), Essential Emergency Management 40 -hour <br />course, at the CSTI campus, in San Luis the week of October 17 -20. This course covers <br />emergency management principles and practices using a complex earthquake scenario. <br />Content also includes specific EOC section /position training that each member of the <br />PET is required have. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize cancellation of the October 18, 2016 City Council Meeting. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There is no financial impact as a result of this action. <br />Submitted b Approved by: <br />Kare Diaz <br />City Clerk <br />Nelson Fialho <br />City Manager <br />
