THE CITY OF <br />R <br />pLEASANTON0 <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />3 <br />July 19, 2016 <br />City Manager <br />TITLE: DESIGNATION OF VOTING DELEGATE AND ALTERNATE FOR THE 2016 <br />LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE <br />SUMMARY <br />The League's 2016 Annual Conference is scheduled for October 5 - 7, in Long Beach. An <br />important part of this Conference is the Annual Business Meeting. At this meeting, the League <br />membership considers and takes action on resolutions that establish League policy. In order to <br />vote on the proposed resolutions the City Council must designate a voting delegate in advance <br />of the conference. <br />Currently, both Mayor Thorne and Councilmember Pentin are registered to attend the Annual <br />Conference. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Designate Mayor Thome as the City's voting delegate and Councilmember Pentin as the <br />alternate for the 2016 League of California Cities Annual Conference. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There is no financial impact as a result of this action. <br />Nelson Fialho <br />City Manager <br />
