CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />March 1, 2016 <br />Vice Mayor Narum called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Olson <br />led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided opening remarks. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: Councilmembers Brown, Olson, Narum, Mayor Thorne <br />Absent: Councilmember Pentin <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS - None <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />City Manager <br />Approved regular and special meeting minutes for February 16, 2016 <br />2. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 16 -830 authorizing submittal of an application to <br />the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development for the housing <br />related parks program <br />3. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 16 -831 to approve ground lease and loan <br />documents related to the loan of lower income housing funds for Kottinger Gardens Phase 1 <br />Community Development <br />4. Actions of the Zoning Administrator <br />5. Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 16 -832 to approve the Altamont Settlement <br />Agreement Education Advisory Board Expenditure Plan for fiscal year 2016 -2017 <br />Engineering <br />6. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement with <br />Jeff Katz Architecture Corp. in the amount of $112,000 to assess the physical condition of <br />Pleasanton Fire Stations 2 (Stoneridge Mall) and 3 (Fairlands) and each stations ability to serve <br />the needs of the fire department into the future; the use of $25,000 from the General Fund <br />Contingency and allocate it to said project, CIP No. 158042; and for the Director of Engineering to <br />increase the amount not to exceed $125,000 if additional services are determined necessary <br />during the course of the study <br />7. Accepted public improvements performed by ETIC Engineering, Inc. for the bridge improvements <br />at various locations project, CIP No. 135008 -FED ID 5101(027); authorized the City Clerk to file a <br />Notice of Completion, the payment of retention in the amount of $31,560.82, the reimbursement of <br />the West Las Positas Boulevard Street Sinking Repair project, CIP No. 115014 and the Streets <br />General Fund should the City be reimbursed with Federal grant funds; ratified City Manager <br />authorization to increase the project contingency by $60,000 utilizing funds from the West Las <br />Positas Boulevard project; and appropriated $46,962 of additional funding from the Streets <br />General Fund to cover the project shortfall resulting from the additional construction support <br />services and required repair work <br />
