ORDINANCE NO. 2139 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING <br />TITLE 11, CHAPTER 11.20, SECTION 11.20.010, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE TO SET AND <br />REVISE SPEED LIMITS FOR PARTICULAR CITY STREETS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Title 11, Vehicles and Traffic, Chapter 11.20, Speed Limits Section 11.20.010, <br />Speed Limits in Certain Zones, of the Municipal Code of the City of Pleasanton, is hereby amended to <br />add new subsections, amend existing subsections, and delete subsections, as follows: <br />11.20.010 Speed limits in certain zones. <br />Based upon an engineering and traffic investigation and study, the prima facie speed limit shall be as <br />set forth in this section on those streets, or parts of said streets, designated in this section when signs <br />are in place giving notice thereof: <br />B. Bernal Avenue: <br />2. From east side of Arroyo Laguna to Valley Avenue the speed limit shall be 45 40 <br />miles per hour. <br />V. Laurel Creek Way: <br />1. From Foothill Road to Stoneridge Mall Road the speed limit shall be 25 30 miles <br />per hour. <br />SECTION 2. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after <br />its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of <br />Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office <br />within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br />SECTION 3.
