CITY OF PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING MINUTES January 5, 2016 Mayor Thome called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance. ROLL CALL Present: Councilmembers Brown, Olson, Pentin, Narum, Mayor Thome Absent: None CLOSED SESSION REPORT Interim City Attorney Julie Harryman reported that the City Council met in Closed Session to discuss the matter of Allen vs. the City of Pleasanton. There was no reportable action. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Councilmember Brown requested Item 1 be moved to the regular agenda. CONSENT CALENDAR Community Development 1. PUD-25, GHC Lund Ranch, LLC— Moved to the Regular Agenda (a) Second reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 2133 approving the application of Greenbriar Homes Communities for Planned Unit Development (PUD) Rezoning and Development Plan approval of 43 homes, as filed under Case PUD-25—Councilmember Brown Voted No (b) Second reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 2134 approving a Development Agreement between the City of Pleasanton and Greenbriar Homes Communities — Councilmember Brown Voted No (c) Adopt by resolution the revised CEQA Findings and the Mitigation and Monitoring and Reporting program; and (d) Authorize staff to take appropriate steps to effectuate Council's intent consistent with the above approvals MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC 2. Public Comment Came Cox, representing Cox Family stores located at Johnson Drive and Stoneridge, mentioned that her family business is in its fortieth (40th) year and family members all work in the business. They have never spoken against another business entering the market and their objective is to be the best business they can be. She expressed concerns regarding undetermined costs, traffic, and infrastructure impacts if a big box store is developed in their location.
