THE CITY OF _ <br /> 1DLEASA4NTONo CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> June 16, 2015 <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: APPROVE 2015 STATE LEGISLATIVE POSITION <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City Council Legislative Subcommittee met on April 15, 2015 to review current State <br /> legislation for alignment with key City priorities around transportation, public safety, <br /> economic development, housing and infrastructure, and water policy. The subcommittee <br /> identified several pieces of legislation that would benefit the City and its residents, and <br /> recommend these for City Council support. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the City Council Legislative Subcommittee's recommendation as the City's <br /> official State legislative position for 2015. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no fiscal impact associated with this report. In the future as legislative initiatives <br /> are evaluated staff will work with the Finance Department and League of California Cities <br /> and other agencies to identify fiscal impacts to local governments associated with any <br /> new proposed legislation. <br />
