RESOLUTION NO. 15-750 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO SIGN RIGHT-OF-WAY CERTIFICATIONS <br /> IN CONNECTION WITH FEDERALLY AND STATE FUNDED ROAD PROJECTS <br /> WHEREAS, in order to obtain Federal and State aid assistance in connection with <br /> Federally and State funded road projects, and for the State Department of Transportation to <br /> approve projects for advertising, it is necessary that the City of Pleasanton certify that the right- <br /> of-way necessary for the proper completion of the projects will be or has been acquired; and <br /> WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Transportation will now accept right- <br /> of-way certifications signed by the City Engineer if the City Council has by resolution authorized <br /> him or her to sign said certifications. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Engineer to sign right-of-way <br /> certifications in connection with Federally and State funded road projects. <br /> SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on May 19, 2015. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on May 19, 2015, by the <br /> following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thome <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Abstain: None <br /> I . 4 ! /_ <br /> Karen Diaz, City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> Larissa Seto, Assistant City Attorney <br />
