RESOLUTION NO. 14-673 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE TO INCLUDE SPECIAL EVENT <br /> APPLICATION FEES <br /> WHEREAS, on May 19, 1992, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 92-100 that <br /> established a new Master Fee Schedule; and <br /> WHEREAS, although the City charges fees for various permit applications, special event <br /> application fees are not enumerated in the Master Fee Schedule; and <br /> WHEREAS, although the Police Department coordinates all of the special event <br /> applications, it is currently not recovering from the event promoters any costs associated with <br /> such coordination; and <br /> WHEREAS, most Bay Area municipalities assess a special event application fee, and <br /> the fees range from $100 to approximately $1,500, depending upon the event; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department has recommended a non-refundable special event <br /> permit application fee to help offset some of its administrative costs in coordinating the <br /> applications for all events except those sponsored by the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department wishes to add to the Master Fee Schedule special <br /> event permit application fees for various groups as follows: for-profit vendors/organizations, a <br /> non-refundable fee of$250.00; nonprofit vendors/organizations,.a non-refundable fee of$75.00; <br /> and city sponsored events, no fee. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. City Council adopts special event permit application fees for various <br /> groups as follows: for-profit vendors/organizations, a non-refundable fee of $250.00; nonprofit <br /> vendors/organizations, a non-refundable fee of$75.00; and city sponsored events, no fee. <br /> SECTION 2. The Master Fee Resolution No. 92-100, Section V, Police Department, <br /> Sub-section B, Special Permits is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> V. Police Department <br /> B. Special Permits <br /> Special Event Application Fee: <br /> For-profit vendors/organizations = $250.00 <br /> Nonprofit vendors/organizations = $ 75.00 <br /> City sponsored events = No Fee <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on April 15, 2014. <br />
