TOVdN OF PLEa5AlG1'ON <br />17.FSOLUTION N0. 2052 <br />BE IT 1ZESULVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'THE TOl^+"N OF PLEASAiVTON that, in <br />accordance with Section 1770 and following sections of the Labor Code of the State <br />of California, the City Council has ascertained and hereby ascertain that the gen- <br />eral prevailing rate of per diem wages in and near the Towrof Pleasanton applicable <br />to the work of Improvement of Main Street from Bernal Avenue to Arroyo del Valle, <br />is as follows: <br />All skilled labor not listed above that may be em- <br />ployed is to be paid not less than the union wage scale pro- <br />vided there is such a scale established in this locality, and <br />in no event to be paid less than One and Five i~undred and <br />Twenty-Five Thousandths Dollars (;1.525) per hour. <br />It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the <br />contract is awarded, and upon any sub-contractor under him, to <br />pay not less than the said specified rates to all laborers, <br />worlanen, and mechanics employed by them in the execution of the <br />contract. <br />Properly indentured apprentices may be employed upon <br />this work in accordance with the State Law. Such apprentices <br />shall be properly indentured as called for by law and shall be <br />paid not less than the standard wage paid to apprentices under <br />the regulations of the trade at which they are employed, or <br />in the event the same are hie;her, not less than the wage rates <br />hereinabove set forth for such apprentices. An apprentice <br />shall be employed only at the work of the trade to which he is <br />indentured.
