RESOLUTION NO. 14-655 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO THE PLEASANTON GENERAL PLAN, AS FILED UNDER CASE P13-2447 REGARDING DOWNTOWN HISTORIC PRESERVATION WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 18, 2012, the City Council approved the formation of the Historic Preservation Task Force to review the current Downtown Specific Plan and Downtown Design Guidelines and to make recommendations to the City Council to help clarify City policy on historic preservation and development review processes in the Historic Downtown; and WHEREAS, the Task Force held 12 Task Force meetings, four public outreach meetings, and one public workshop, reviewed selected sections of the Downtown Specific Plan and Downtown Design Guidelines, and recommended amendments to the Conservation and Open Space Element of the Pleasanton General Plan 2005-2025; and WHEREAS, on November 13, 2013, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed amendments to the Conservation and Open Space Element of the General Plan and recommended to the City Council that it adopt the proposed amendments; and WHEREAS, duly noticed public hearings were held on December 17, 2013, and January 21, 2014, at which time the City Council reviewed the proposed amendments to the General Plan and considered all related reports, documents, and testimony, and the recommendations of the Task Force and Planning Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. The City Council adopts amendments to the Conservation and Open Space Element of the Pleasanton General Plan 2005-2025, as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made part of this resolution by reference. SECTION 2. The Council determines that this is one of the four times in 2014 that the Conservation and Open Space Element of the General Plan may be amended as provided in Government Code Section 65358. SECTION 3. The Council finds that this amendment to the General Plan will not cause a significant effect on the environment as provided in Title 14 California Code of Regulations Section 15061(b)(3). SECTION 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on January 21, 2014. 1
