THE CITY OF <br /> —� <br /> 5 <br /> _ l',i- 1 1 •, E.r <br /> pL£AS�4NTONe CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> December 3, 2013 <br /> Community Development <br /> Planning Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH <br /> FIRSTCARBON SOLUTIONS—MICHAEL BRANDMAN ASSOCIATES IN <br /> THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $110,000 FOR SERVICES IN <br /> ASSOCIATION WITH THE PREPARATION OF CEQA ANALYSIS FOR <br /> PROJECTS PROPOSED WITHIN STAPLES RANCH <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Staff is requesting approval of up to five professional services agreements with <br /> FirstCarbon Solutions-Michael Brandman Associates to provide environmental review <br /> services for preparation of addendums to the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan <br /> Amendment/Staples Ranch Environmental Impact Report (EIR) or expanded initial <br /> studies for up to five development projects within Staples Ranch. Each agreement for <br /> the projects will be in an amount not to exceed $22,000, and the developer(s) of each of <br /> the projects will provide the funds for the corresponding consultant agreement(s). <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Authorize the City Manager to execute up to five Professional Services <br /> Agreements with FirstCarbon Solutions-Michael Brandman Associates for <br /> services related to preparation of addendums to the Stoneridge Drive Specific <br /> Plan Amendment/Staples Ranch EIR or expanded initial studies not to exceed <br /> $22,000 for each agreement ($110,000 combined for all five agreements). <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The cost of the individual agreements would be paid by the project applicants. Planning <br /> Division review and administration will be conducted by staff and is part of the Advance <br /> Planning budget. <br />
