THE CITY OF J <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT 7 <br /> pL•EASANTON, <br /> November 19, 2013 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: CONFIRM MEMBERSHIP TO THE AD HOC PIONEER CEMETERY <br /> MASTER PLAN OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> On September 17, 2013, the City Council approved the formation of a seven member <br /> Ad Hoc Pioneer Cemetery Master Plan Oversight Committee (Committee) consisting of <br /> two Parks and Recreation Commissioners, one Civic Arts Commissioner, one Veterans <br /> Organization of Pleasanton representative, one Cemetery Committee (community <br /> group) representative, one Catholic Funeral and Cemetery Services representative, and <br /> one Member at Large member. The City received five (5) applications from the public <br /> by the deadline of Friday, November 1, 2013. The Mayor interviewed all five applicants <br /> and is recommending Carolanne Montgomery for the At-Large Representative. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends that the City Council confirm the following individuals to serve on the <br /> Pioneer Cemetery Master Plan Oversight Committee: <br /> • Two (2) Parks and Recreation Commissioners <br /> Brad Hottle, Deborah Wahl <br /> • One (1) Civic Arts Commissioner <br /> Heidi Massie, Stephanie Wedge (alternate) <br /> • One (1) Veterans Organization of Pleasanton representative <br /> Doug Miller <br /> • One (1) Cemetery Committee (community group) representative <br /> Frank Capilla <br /> • One (1) Catholic Funeral and Cemetery Services representative <br /> Jayne Archer <br /> • One (1) Member at Large member <br /> Carolanne Montgomery <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There will be no significant impact for the City as a result of initiating the Oversight <br /> Committee, as support will be provided by City staff members. <br />
