THE CITY OF 13 <br /> "' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL EASANTON, <br /> August 20, 2013 <br /> Community Services Department <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE AGREEMENT WITH JENNIFER HINES DESIGN FOR <br /> $25,000 FOR GRAPHIC SERVICES <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Community Services Department produces an Activities Guide three (3) times per <br /> year for its various programs, activities and events. The Activities Guide as well as <br /> various promotional materials has been coordinated through an agreement with a <br /> private graphics design company. The City's last agreement expired or June 30, 2013, <br /> and in anticipation of that expiration the City conducted a Request for Proposal (RFP) <br /> process to select the most qualified vendor to continue to provide these services. After <br /> formal interviews with three (3) perspective firms and reference checks, staff <br /> determined that Jennifer Hines Design of Pleasanton is the most responsive and cost- <br /> effective designer to provide graphic services for the Community Services Department's <br /> promotion and marketing needs. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the Services Agreement (Attachment 1) with Jennifer Hines Design in the <br /> amount of$25,000 commencing on September 1, 2013 to provide graphic services. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The proposed Services Agreement with Jennifer Hines Design is in the amount not to <br /> exceed $25,000 annually. Funding has been allocated and is available in the FY <br /> 2013/14 Operating Budget. <br />
