THE CITY OF <br /> pL£ASANTONO CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> 6 <br /> July 16, 2013 <br /> Community Development <br /> Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY ANDERSON <br /> PACIFIC ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE SANITARY <br /> SEWER LIFT STATION S-6 REPLACEMENT, CIP NO. 012027 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> This project consisted of the construction of a new 7.6 million gallons a day (MGD) <br /> pump station and removal of the existing 3.9 MGD pump station. The project included <br /> the purchase of the pump station parcel from Caltrans. Construction of the project is <br /> complete and ready for acceptance by the City Council. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the project improvements. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the project. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $108,707.53 to Anderson <br /> Pacific Engineering Construction, Inc. of Santa Clara, California thirty days after <br /> recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 4. Authorize the transfer of the project balance of $1,095,870 to the Sewer <br /> Replacement and Improvement Fund balance. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this project totaled $4,197,209 as outlined in Attachment 1. Expenditures <br /> totaled $3,101,339, leaving an unspent balance of $1,095,870. Staff is recommending <br /> the transfer of this balance to the Sewer Replacement and Improvement Fund. <br />
