THE CITY OF 18
CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT V
pL£ASANTONe
June 4, 2013
City Manager's Office
TITLE: REAFFIRM CITY COUNCIL TWO YEAR ANNUAL WORK PLAN
SUMMARY
Recently the City Council adopted its two-year City Council work plan. At the time of its
adoption, the Council asked that the plan be presented to the full Council, following the
May special election, in order to provide the new Councilmember an opportunity to
reaffirm and/or suggest modifications.
The work plan is designed to inform the community of the Council's "shared vision" of
high priority projects and to provide the City Manager with the policy direction needed to
manage City resources. It is anticipated the Council may update the Work Plan as
needed during these two years to reflect new priorities or projects and to assure that it
remains consistent with City Council goals and objectives and ongoing communication
with the community.
RECOMMENDATION
Reaffirm and/or modify the Annual Work Plan attached to this report as Attachment 1.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
There is no direct financial impact as a result of this report. However many of the
projects included in the work plan have a financial impact which have been addressed
through the City Budget including the Capital Improvement Program.
