THE CITY OF <br /> --' "" CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL EASANTON® <br /> January 15, 2013 <br /> Community Development <br /> Planning Department <br /> TITLE: APPROVE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENTS WITH FIRST <br /> CARBON SOLUTIONS — MICHAEL BRANDMAN ASSOCIATES IN THE <br /> AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $80,000 FOR SERVICES IN ASSOCIATION <br /> WITH THE PREPARATION OF CEQA ANALYSIS FOR PROJECTS <br /> PROPOSED ON SITES REZONED AS PART OF THE HOUSING ELEMENT <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Staff is requesting approval of up to four professional services agreements with First <br /> Carbon Solutions — Michael Brandman Associates to provide environmental review <br /> services for preparation of addendums to the Housing Element Supplemental EIR or <br /> expanded initial studies for up to four of the nine sites rezoned in January 2012 for high- <br /> density housing. Each agreement for the sites will be in an amount not to exceed <br /> $20,000, and the developer(s) of each of the sites will provide the funds for the <br /> corresponding consultant agreement(s). <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Authorize the City Manager to execute up to four Professional Services <br /> Agreements with First Carbon Solutions — Michael Brandman Associates for <br /> services related to preparation of addendums to the Housing Element <br /> Supplemental EIR or expanded initial studies not to exceed $20,000 for each <br /> agreement ($80,000 combined for all four agreements). <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The cost of the individual agreements would be paid by the project applicants. Planning <br /> Division review and administration will be conducted by staff and is part of the Current <br /> Planning budget. <br />
