MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> April 3, 2012 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Boy Scout Troop 916 <br /> lead the Pledge of Allegiance and Councilmember McGovern provided introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: Councilmembers Sullivan <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> City Manager Fialho noted the following continuances: <br /> • Public Hearing: Consider applications of BRE Properties —continued to April 17, 2012; <br /> • Public Hearing: PADR-2090 — continued to April 17, 2012; <br /> • Public Hearing: P12-0042 —continued to May 1, 2012 <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Administrative Services <br /> 1. Approved regular meeting minutes of March 6, 2012 and special meeting minutes of February 8 <br /> and March 20, 2012 <br /> Community Development <br /> 2. Accepted actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br /> 3. Public Hearing: Waived full reading and adopted Resolution No. 12-513 establishing <br /> Underground Utility District 12-01 on Stanley Boulevard between Santa Rita Road and First Street <br /> Councilmember McGovern expressed concern with the rate of progress, noting that the <br /> community specifically asked staff to exhaust all possibilities to move this forward prior to 2016. <br /> Mayor Hosterman opened the public hearing. <br /> Darell Walterson appreciated Councilmember McGovern's comments and anything staff could do <br /> to expedite the process. <br /> City Engineer Kirkpatrick explained that tonight's action adopts the 20A District, which places the <br /> project in the queue for 20A funds. The 20B District will remain in place and staff will continue to <br /> search for alternative or additional funding opportunities. <br /> Councilmember Thorne said he too was disappointed with the timeline and that he would work <br /> with staff to identify more immediate funding opportunities. <br /> Mr. Walterson asked that PG&E also be encouraged to relocate its gas line. <br /> Mayor Hosterman closed the public hearing. <br />
