RESOLUTION NO. 12-501 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> APPROVING THE ALAMEDA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION <br /> MASTER PROGRAM FUNDING AGREEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, voters approved the 20-year Measure B half-cent transportation sales tax in <br /> 2000, and the funding agreement to the midpoint of the measure, between the Alameda County <br /> Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA) and City of Pleasanton needs renewal prior to <br /> March 31, 2012; and <br /> WHEREAS, voters approved the Vehicle Registration Fee (VRF) of $10 in 2010, which <br /> also authorizes entering into an agreement with City of Pleasanton through June 30, 2022 for <br /> receipt and eligibility of funds; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) is a joint <br /> powers authority resulting from the merger of the Alameda County Congestion Management <br /> Agency and ACTIA and is responsible for distributing to local jurisdictions the Measure B and <br /> VRF revenues for bicycle and pedestrian safety, local streets and roads, local transportation <br /> technology, mass transit, Para-transit, and transit center development programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Alameda CTC has developed a new master programs funding <br /> agreement (MPFA) that specifies the Measure B and VRF funding distributions, Alameda CTC's <br /> responsibilities, and the recipient's responsibilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, implementation guidelines for each program are incorporated into the <br /> MPFA and guide fund eligibility and expenditures. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. The City of Pleasanton and its agents shall comply with the Alameda CTC <br /> MPFA; <br /> SECTION 2. The City of Pleasanton shall use these local funds for local transportation <br /> programs. <br /> SECTION 3 This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on February 21, 2012. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 21st day of <br /> February, 2012 by the following vote: <br />
