MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> January 4, 2012 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Sullivan <br /> led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: None <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT - City Attorney Lowell reported that the Council met in Closed Session <br /> for conference with legal counsel regarding potential litigation and labor negotiations regarding <br /> Pleasanton Police Officers Association, for which there was no reportable action from that discussion. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS: City Manager Fialho stated Item 3 is being pulled. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Community Development <br /> 1. Accepted actions of the Zoning Administrator <br /> 2. Waived second reading and adopted Ordinance No. 2025 approving the application of Ponderosa <br /> Homes, Carol Lehman, and William and Kathryn Selway applications for a Major Modification to <br /> the Planned Unit Development to increase the number of lots on an approx. 19.47 acre site at <br /> 3157 Trenery Drive and 2313 Martin Avenue <br /> Police <br /> 3. Pulled from the Agenda — Public Hearing: Adopt a resolution approving the Citizen's Options <br /> for Public Safety Program (COPS) Year 14 appropriation <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Thorne/Cook-Kallio to approve Consent Calendar as recommended and as <br /> noted. Motion carried by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> 4. Proclamation recognizing January as National Blood Donor Month <br /> Councilmember Sullivan recognized January as National Blood Donor Month, introduced Ed Fasso, <br /> Donor Recruitment Account Manager for the regional office of the American Red Cross, who gave a <br /> brief background and statistics on blood donations. Councilmember Sullivan then read the proclamation <br /> into the record. <br />
